Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By using DCard you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. The Service

DCard lets you create a digital business card, generate a QR code for sharing, scan physical business cards (front and back), store scanned contacts, and back up your data to the cloud. The service is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied.

3. Your Data

You own your data. We store it only to provide the service. You can delete all your data at any time from Settings, including your profile, scanned contacts, and card images.

4. Acceptable Use

Do not use DCard for spam, harassment, or any unlawful purpose. Do not attempt to reverse-engineer, modify, or redistribute the app. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms.

5. Subscription Plans & Pricing

DCard offers a free tier and optional paid subscriptions:

• Free — Up to 5 scanned contacts, 2 card colour themes, basic card layout.
• Pro — Up to 100 scanned contacts, all 7 premium colour themes plus custom colours, custom logo & photo on card, multiple card layouts, card field toggles & tagline, scanned card import (front & back).
• Business — Up to 500 scanned contacts, everything in Pro, priority support, and early access to new features.

Subscriptions are billed monthly or yearly through the App Store or Google Play. Payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Prices may vary by region and are subject to change.

6. Free Trial

New users may receive a free trial granting temporary access to Pro features. If you do not subscribe before the trial ends, your account reverts to the free tier. Scanned contacts beyond the free limit remain saved but you will not be able to add new ones until you subscribe.

7. Camera & Device Permissions

DCard requires camera access to scan business cards and QR codes. Contacts permission is needed only to save scanned contacts to your device address book. These permissions are optional and can be managed in your device settings.

8. Intellectual Property

DCard and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by DCard and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of any personal data and images you provide.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DCard is not liable for data loss, service interruptions, or any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the app. We recommend maintaining local backups in addition to cloud sync.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the service at any time for violation of these terms. You may stop using the service at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of any changes. Material changes will be communicated through the app or via email.
